monday had band prac.
reported at 8. ban1 instruments down was heavy work. but putting raisers up was worse.
strings ensems people came again. we talked. did not find her as scary as yibing. haha.
they had raisers for trumpets, trombones and drumset, but no raisers for double basses!!! then cannot see us. we hiding behind the curtains. arbish them lah. cannot see us, then we there for wat? cannot see timpani also. should have put the timpani on the raisers.
then we ran through the programme. stupid bow. got stuck again. too much rosin. no sound. sheesh.
and xiaohui dropped her bassoon. elissa see le pa4 pa4. haha. now bass section have to run about 12 rounds? 3 because i drop bow, 9 because xiaohui dropped bassoon.
sigh.
very cold. me and eugenia shivering like mad. dunno how we going to perform on concert. two and a half hours standing there. then eugenia say all basses people laugh funnily. and boith cheryls whine and laugh like crazy. especially big cheryl. can tell can tell.
then we went curry wok as the whole bass section. (euphos+bassoons+tubas+double bass)
at first jasmine thought eugenia said "curry walk" then she asked: "are we going to eat there or walk there?"
funny funny so funny.
then the food was quite nice. jacey very lame lorh. but lame people are funny.
then eugenia say yanzhen was abit siao.
but jasmine and melissa more siao. laugh like mad all the way to curry wok.
then after lunch we had sectionals with trumpets. ran through rosa, gershwin, ray charles.
then we took section photo for concert!
we (tuba+double bass+bassoons) dunno what and where to take.
actually jasmine suggested to do a serious pose and then put "serious bass-ness" at the bottom.
*silence*
elissa: "eeee! dun want lah!!!!!"
so we ended up taking a "family monkey photo" instead.
